In Episode 4 of Climate Solutions, we travel to Burkina Faso in West Africa’s Sahel Region to visit a program by CIF and the African Development Bank. Mafalda Duarte, who visited Burkina Faso shortly before Covid-19 limited international travel, describes the lessons from this program that can be applied more widely. In particular, it shows the importance of an interconnected approach to climate investment. Projects should not simply focus on the climate challenge, but also seek to tackle food and water security and poverty.
