Thursday, August 13, 2020 | 9:00 am – 10:30 am (EDT) | Webex

The CIF Observers Program has been in existence for nearly 10 years and sustained by the active participation of some 150 climate leaders and activists from Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs), Private Sector Entities (PSEs), and other stakeholders. The observers, in their capacity representing their constituencies, participate in CIF governance committees at the global level, contribute to formulating climate strategies at the national level, and monitor climate projects at the local level.

Observers will serve on the two Trust Funds (CTF, SCF), Technical Committees (PPCR, FIP and SREP) and the recently established Global Sub-committee for four new climate programs.

Hosted by the CIF, with support from RESOLVE and Clima Capital Partners, this webinar will:

  • EXAMINE lessons learned over the past decade
  • ANALYSE findings from an assessment survey and study on the work of the observers
  • PROVIDE  information on the upcoming observer self-selection process
  • RESPOND to questions from prospective/interested nominees
