(Ann Arbor, Michigan) The Construction Innovation Forum (CIF), an international non-profit organization, has announced the launch of its web site. The web site URL is: http://www.cif.org The site will help promote CIF and its NOVA Award, which is bestowed annually in recognition of innovation in the construction industry that improve quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The web site explains in detail about CIF's mission and summarizes each of the eighteen innovations that have received NOVA Awards from 1990-1995. A complete listing of the 161 nominations for the NOVA Award from 1990-1995 are included with a short description and contact person for each. NOVA Awards Chairman, Prof. Robert I. Carr, Ph.D., P.E. explains the goal for the web site is "to be a window to construction innovation, through which anyone can discover and link to innovations throughout the industry." The site also includes detailed information about the upcoming 1997 Innovation Celebration to be held on March 13, 1997 and the NOVA Award jury process. CIF members are listed along with links to their web sites. Visitors can print membership forms, ticket reservation forms and nomination forms directly from the site.
