Description:

Stresswall precast concrete earth retention systems allow numerous wall design configurations and applications. The walls are built with just two basic components; a precast counterfort and a prestressed wall panel. The counterforts hold the panels in position to contain the backfill and combine with this fill to form a stable permanent structure. Speed of erection and the ability of the system to accept a wide variety of backfill types contribute to the economy of the product. The Stresswall system allows the designer to specify essentially vertical retaining structures with planting terraces on the wall face. Stresswall uses a slot cut excavation method for the base tier of the counterfort units. This technique provides counterfort stability and minimizes backfill quantities. Keywords: soil
