Description: |
This is a steel erection method developed by Bechtel Construction Company's departments of Construction and Safety designed to prevent fall accidents. A unit consisting of columns and associated horizontal and diagonal members is erected on the ground. Inertia reels are installed at the top of the columns and the unit is raised into position. Employees wearing safety harnesses, attach themselves to the inertia reel lines, climb the columns and detach the rigging. This safe and efficient fall protection system for steel erection is suitable for many different types of projects. |
