Description:

The Minishell Construction System is a self shaping, octagonal based, reinforced concrete domed shell developed for low-cost housing and tourist developments. The octagonal base is a reinforced concrete slab on grade. A Pneumoform, an inflatable balloon, is fixed to a special anchoring system around the perimeter. PVC sheeting is laid over the Pneumoform and on top of this are steel springs and reinforcing bars. Concrete is poured over this arrangement and the Pneumoform is inflated to achieve the desired dome shape. After the concrete has set, the Pneumoform is deflated and removed through the door opening. It can be used again. The interior of the shelter can be configured to the wishes of the owner.
