This nomination was for the inclusion of trades personnel as a part of the overall team effort during the construction of the Bell Laboratories facility in Whippany, N.J. Emphasis was placed upon meetings with trade union business agents and meetings with labor representatives for their input and concerns, awards for safe work practices, lunchroom facilities for the labor force, orientation of the workers to the project, and newsletter communication with the employees.
