Description:

Fermi 2 Nuclear Power Plant's condenser was retubed because the original brass tubes had leached copper into the reactor water and contributed to localized corrosion of the fuel cladding. The tubes were replaced with titanium tubes because of their strength and corrosion resistance. The project was completed under a fized price contract, and was under budget and aahead of schedule. Project manhours exceeded 200,000 without a lost time accident. Keywords: rehab
