Description:

The Ring-Plex Nailing System is a fastening method for the construction of temporary wood assemblies, primarily concrete forms. The Ring-Plex nail is an alternative to the duplex nail that is in common use. The shank of the nail has a smooth lower portion to engage the bottom wood member, and has deformed rings along the upper section to engage the top wood member and hold it in place against the bottom piece. After driving, the nail head stands approximately 1/4" above the top member to allow for easy nail removal when the assembly is taken apart. The Ring-Plex nail is designed for use with the ITW Paslode Impulse 325 tool, but may be adapted to other ITW Paslode pneumatic or gas powered tools. These tools need to have an easily changed, special work contact element. Keywords: formwork
