Description: |
The Voice Activated Inspection System (VAIS) allows a construction inspector or engineer to verbally enter and document information on site while facts and details are fresh in mind. The system includes a hand-held tape recorder, a personal computer, printer, tape deck, and voice recognition card. The system translates the recorded inspection tape and produces a written report with no further human effort or time delay. The technology has been transferred to private industry and is marketed as Astro VOIS by Astronics Incorporated. |
