A primary innovation of the electro-osmotic pulsing technique is the asymmetric dual polarity wave form of the voltage pulse. A long voltage pulse, shown in green, is followed by a short voltage pulse in the opposite direction, shown in red. The long pulse moves water to dry the basement, but the short pulse moves a small amount of water in the reverse direction, which helps retain some water in the concrete to maintain its strength. The EOP power supply supplies the pulsating direct current voltage between the anode and cathode. Pulse times are programmable to fit site specific conditions. Operating and energy cost is negligible, equivalent to burning a 60 watt light bulb. (Click figures to enlarge)
